Job Description

- Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
Responsible for developing and implementing the sales & marketing strategies to expand and maintain the company's aftermarket services within the assigned territory. Administer aftermarket sales of the company products to the customers in the assigned territory. This position works independently.
- Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
A) Sales related Duties (approximately 70% of time spent) Prepare and maintain comprehensive Business Plan that addresses the current and forecasted commercial aviation market.
B Identify potential opportunities and position the company to compete for the business.
C) Develop and maintain relationships with customer portfolio assigned.
D) Work closely with Front Office, Pricing, Marketing, engineering, manufacturing and other corporate entities to ensure the aftermarket services product offered meets customer needs and is competitive with competitors' product.
E) Follow up on the preparation of Bids and Proposals to ensure timely submission. Negotiate Bids with potential customer.
F) Monitor the status of programs awarded to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
G) Follow industry trends to anticipate evolving or new customer needs.
H) Be comfortable, familiar, and work at ease with (multi nation) international business practices (airline and airframe) as well as the customs of the culture interfacing with.
I) Gather and feedback information on competitors obtained from customers or from personal observations. This may include information on products, services, prices, relationships, etc.
J) Analyze customer organization chart and decision process. Communicate all information as necessary internally. Properly time competitions. Appropriately deploy various levels of management as required.
K) In the case that an OEM is assigned, must be fluent in the native language:
i) Boeing – English
ii) Airbus – English, and French or German
iii) Embraer – English, and Portuguese
L) Chase overdues for her/his portfolio of customers.

People Management duties (approximately 30% of time spent):
M) Administers and executes policies, processes, and procedures that affect subordinate employees and the workflow of the work unit.
N) Actively involved in day-to-day coaching and training.
O) Provide hands-on assistance and direct oversight.
P) Engage in regular one-on-one meetings to discuss individual development plans.
Q) Directly handle immediate and minor performance issues.
R) Implement corrective actions based on company policies.
S) Document any disciplinary actions and provide continuous feedback.
T) Conduct regular performance reviews.
U) Provide specific, actionable feedback based on daily observations.
V) Set short-term goals and monitor progress continuously.
W) Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Qualification Requirements:
A. Education & Qualification-
• A Bachelor degree in Business Administration or in Engineering, or related field is required. OR 6 years related experience in lieu of Bachelor's level degree to meet the education requirement.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
• 10 years proven experience in the commercial aviation industry.
• 10 years proven sales and/or relationship building skills within the commercial aviation industry.
• Leadership experience managing subordinates is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Cabin/Seats product is preferred.
C. Professional Skills-
• This position requires an individual with a sales or marketing background and established contacts within the commercial aviation industry.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of the aircraft interiors business and be capable of handling discussions on technical areas concerning Safran Seats seating products.
• Have excellent negotiating skills and be comfortable in an adversarial business environment during contract negotiations or discussions.
• Have a very good working knowledge of the standard suite of office software products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI….).
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
