Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Description

This position is part of the Paint Electrical Controls team. Responsibilities include creating and confirming electrical control standards, reviewing electrical drawings, and supporting project installations. This role involves leading review meetings with related groups, document creation, and supporting plants in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Create and confirm electrical control standards.

  • Review electrical drawings and support project installations.

  • Lead review meetings with related groups.

  • Create necessary documentation.

  • Support plants during the implementation process.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in related field.

  • Experience with layout design and equipment installation.

  • Ability to identify project restrictions and potential countermeasures.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and creating presentations).

  • Project Management experience.

  • Experience applying OSHA requirements, machine codes, and applicable standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance or other relevant technical experience.

  • Paint production engineering experience.

  • Working knowledge of PLC and other communications equipment.

  • Working knowledge of Model ID, ALC, and other vehicle data systems.

  • Experience working with suppliers and other affiliates on development activities.

Work Environment

An ideal candidate should have experience with controls design and troubleshooting, as well as a background in maintenance or robotics. The role involves layout design and equipment installation, reviewing project drawings, meeting with vendors, and supporting equipment installation. The interview process includes two rounds: the first via MS Teams and the second round in person. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
