Description:

  • PRN (Will be scheduled to work as needed) – Non-Benefited

  • Department: Clinical Nutrition

  • This position reports to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Food Services Director

Responsibilities:

  • Manages nutrition assessment and medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process that encompasses the scope and timeliness of nutrition care delivery to hospitalized patients.

  • Flexible schedule.

  • Provides nutrition expertise to physicians and other health professionals.

  • Participates in activities that encompasses interdisciplinary care, Performance Improvement, promotion of health and/or or provision of nutrition education for the patients, family, staff, and community.

What you will need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or verification statement from the American Dietetic Association confirming completion of DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) Requirements.

  • Licensed in the state of Maryland. (Includes 15 credit hours every year of continuing education).

  • Active registration status with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. (Includes 75 credit hours every 5 years of continuing education).

  • Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with physicians, patients, and families and other hospital staff.

  • Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information and situations.

  • Experience in hospital clinical dietetics, preferred.

Pay Range: $29.86 - $43.34

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
