Job Title: Master Scheduler

Job Description

Our client is focused on proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems supporting the defense industry globally. The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduling and planning for major and/or strategic programs across a business unit.

  • Create Master Phasing Schedule and integrated program schedules to capture IRAD dependencies.

  • Work with program managers, finance, and production planners.

  • Provide analysis and project support to assigned program workload, including reviewing scope and schedule performance.

  • Develop schedules that include project phasing, project milestones, and represent critical relationships between program tasks as required to plan, coordinate, and visualize all significant program activities.

  • Analyze trends, develop reports, facilitate communication, and provide feedback on program performance.

  • Support the Program Manager team in the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and lead in the development of schedules (including resource loading) for identified WBS elements.

  • Work with Project Manager and Program Finance to develop ETCs, EACs, and Variance Reports.

  • Ensure the schedule/program plan is executable (cost, schedule, and technical requirements are fully integrated) and executing as planned.

  • Perform Critical Path Analysis and report results to Project Team.

  • Provide weekly/monthly project status updates including Earned Value Performance as appropriate.

  • Analyze Earned Value monthly data Schedule Variance (SV, SPI).

  • Develop Recovery Plans with the Project Team.

  • Perform Risk Analysis and Risk Planning on the schedule when necessary and assist in identifying and recommending mitigation strategies for project schedule risks.

  • Participate in Program Proposal process with Business Development team.

  • Review all subcontractor and vendor change requests and advise Project Managers of any schedule impact of proposed design changes.

  • Assemble and compile schedule data and input it into the project schedule and provide output to the project manager.

  • Advise management of risks that may affect project profit, costs, and schedules.

  • Understand various contract types, such as cost plus, T&M, and FFP, ensuring all requirements of the prime contract are understood.

  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of Program Planning & Scheduling utilizing Microsoft Project or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process.

  • Experience in Schedule Analysis on production and development programs.

  • Familiarity with PMI and related Project Management and Scheduling best practices.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project.

  • Experience using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Strong Engineering and Production background in terms of scheduling.

Work Environment

Collaborative environment with multiple Engineering disciplines, including Software, Hardware, Mechanical, and Manufacturing. The team comprises approximately 100 people and is aggressively growing. They operate on a 9/80 work schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $67.00/hr.
