Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Recreation Coordinator - Special Events . The Recreation Coordinator reports to the Recreation Supervisor. The primary job duties of this positions include:
Plan, organize, and oversee Special Events and programs designed to enhance the recreational experience for the community.
Collaborate with internal team members, community organizations, and vendors.
Oversee permits, contracts, vendors, transportation logistics, equipment, and supplies for events.
Monitor event operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and municipal policies.
Respond to community inquiries and concerns regarding events in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Tourism, Business Management or related course work.
Two years of recreation programming, special event planning, or related experience.
Specialization in an event or festival management preferred (Special Event assignment only).
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.
