We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Banking Underwriter to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our loan applications meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and service.
This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
Review loan credit, income, and collateral documents for accuracy and compliance within SLAs.
Analyze credit history, income capacity, and collateral to assess risk and eligibility for manual underwriting.
Ensure all loans meet policy guidelines and recommend approvals or declines.
Communicate declines and request additional information as necessary.
Support training and assist with loan-related inquiries.
Maintain legal files and correspondence in an organized and compliant manner.

Demonstrate punctuality, safety, and responsibility in all tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor-s degree preferred.
2-4 years of related experience, with retail and home equity loan underwriting experience a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with LoansPQ preferred.
