Production Scheduler II-Fed Beef
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Production Scheduler II to join our team! This person will manage and create production schedules and work cross-functionally with the traffic and sales team to schedule loads of product from our plants to customers, wholesalers and beyond!
Responsibilities:
Provide coverage for plant schedulers in case of their absence
Provide strategy around product demand when issues arrive with sold positions
Travel when necessary to plants to train or solve issues
Ability to train and mentor new schedulers
Work with Program Managers on program mix strategy
Work with Fed Pricing teams on mix and product allocation
Provide product availability to sales
Manage product age rotation with plant personnel to eliminate dated product related issues/costs
Work hand in hand with plant production leaders, carcass optimization/product mix director and plant schedulers to coordinate production limits and actuals that feed production schedules and availability reporting
Work closely with plant and corporate procurement for cattle mix and forecasts.
Manage substitutions on customer orders and keep sales team informed of all changes in order contents or status
Meet KPI’s for Order Fill, Make Sheet Accuracy
Maintain data within Order Management System and spreadsheet formulas that drive constraints, capacities and accurate forecasts.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience in Scheduling and Demand Planning, Production, and/or Analytics strongly preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel)
In depth knowledge of Production and Inventory Control Processes is strongly preferred
Strong communication, computer and decision making skills
Detail oriented, team player, strong multi-tasking skills
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $65,000-$75,000;
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
