Full Salary Range: $80,200 - $112,300 Annually Anticipated Hiring Range: $80,200 - $96,250 Annually

Job Summary: The Water Resource Administrator III performs work in direct support of the Water Resources Operations Manager. This position will provide technical support including collection and analysis of hydrologic data and analysis of water rights administration, including assistance with managing water court cases. The position assists in developing recommendations and policy for water resource management, planning, development, and conservation. This position is expected to make decisions regarding water rights administration with the support of the Water Resources team. The Water Resource Admin III will assist the Water Resource Operations Manager in critical negotiations with ditch companies, agricultural businesses, developers, neighboring municipalities, and other entities throughout the region, and will lead efforts to optimize water supply utilization through data analysis and modeling.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills: Minimum Requirements -Valid driver's license. -Bachelor of Science degree in water resources, sustainability, engineering, natural resource economics, watershed science, or similarly related field. -Five (5) + years of experience in water resource planning, processes, procedures, and administration (Colorado preferred) -Five (5) + years of experience in administration of water rights and administration in Colorado. -Five (5) + years of experience in contract development and management. -Five (5) + years of experience with complex statistical, economic, and hydrologic analyses of water rights. OR -A combination of related education and experience that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job may be considered by the hiring authority.

Preferred -Water resource planning and management experience for a Colorado municipal water system. -Two (2) + years of experience with water rights in the Poudre and Big Thompson River basins. -Four (4) + years of experience in contract negotiation and settlement. -Four (4) + years of experience with project management. -Four (4) + years of experience with decree accounting, operations models, and AWAS software. -Four (4) + years of experience reading water court resumes and presenting an entity as an applicant or opposer in water court cases... for full information follow application link.
