Job Description
The Structures Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, overhauling, repairing, modifying, and troubleshooting airframe parts, systems, and components. This role involves performing sheet metal repairs and fabrications on various aircraft structural components including ailerons, longerons, flaps, joints, panels, aircraft skin, and other structural parts. The Structures Mechanic will also be involved in performing sheet metal modifications. All aircraft will be in C & D checks.
Responsibilities
Inspect, overhaul, repair, modify, and troubleshoot airframe parts, systems, and components.
Perform sheet metal repairs and fabrications on ailerons, longerons, flaps, joints, panels, aircraft skin, and other structural components.
Carry out sheet metal modifications on various aircraft parts.
Work on aircraft undergoing C & D checks.
Essential Skills
Experience in aircraft interior, aircraft repair, and aircraft modification.
Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and structural modification.
Knowledge of aviation structures, particularly Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
Experience in heavy maintenance and C & D checks.
At least 2 years of experience in aircraft structural maintenance and/or sheet metal repair and fabrication in an MRO environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Boeing Aircraft (B737, B757, B767, B777) is highly desirable.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of extremely large MRO/Heavy Maintenance hangars. Candidates must have steel toe shoes and their own tools. The role requires flexibility to work on either the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and availability to work some weekends. Shift hours are as follows: 1st shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM), 3rd shift (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM).

This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
