DESCRIPTION OF WORK This is an essential position. You will be a contact for emergencies at this 24/7/365 facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all design, maintenance, renovation, construction, repair, security, and emergency operations of all buildings, facility equipment and grounds of the MTL.
Among your daily tasks, you will plan and coordinate controlled heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, plumbing and drainage systems, electrical systems, lighting and wiring configurations, safety and security, custodial service, warehouse operations, grounds keeping services, refuse removal, toxic and hazardous substance removal, pest control, snow removal and ice treatment, roadway and parking control and maintenance, shuttle service, and emergency situation operations for the facilities and grounds.
You will also be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating construction and renovation activities. This will include coordinating relocations, office re-alignments, remodeling, change requests, and the acquisition and placement of any new equipment to be installed. Additionally, you will over see staff performance, vehicle use and maintenance, and the facility security card system.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch Essential position. On call 24/7/365 for facility emergencies Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of skilled trades work experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential facilities which includes one year of supervisory experience overseeing skilled trades work in commercial or industrial buildings, or utility plant operations.
Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
