Sr. Onsite Installation/ Service Engineer, Hemlock, MI
Sr. Field Service Technician - The Sr. Field Service Representative FSR position, Hemlock, MI, involves supporting the operations and maintenance of advanced water treatment systems at a manufacturing facility.
Hires for the Hemlock site may be Direct Hires or Contracts without end dates, client is flexible. Roles involve installation, maintenance and system monitoring and maintenance for equipment related to water treatment, including: Media filtration, Softening, Reverse osmosis (RO), Ion exchange (IX), De-oxygenation, Electro deionization, Ultrafiltration (UF) and Wastewater.
Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for the role:
Operate, monitor, maintain, repair, and optimize industrial equipment performance.
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on various systems and equipment (Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on equipment such as Valves, Air compressors, Ejectors, Process pumps, blowers, etc.).
Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific tests.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.
Create and maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.
Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as motors, PLCs, VFDs, valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.
Partner with customer management and operation teams to advise on system performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or international equivalent and 5+ years of service/maintenance experience in an industrial environment, or a Bachelor's or Associate s Degree in Science/Engineering STEM or a technical certificate in Instrumentation, Controls, or programming.
Experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting is preferred.
This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically and electrically inclined, enjoys working with new technologies, and likes being part of a large team. It offers the opportunity to learn valuable. Roles in Hemlock may have travel, for training purposes, and also, for candidates available and interested, to support other sites.

Electrical & Power Systems – AC/DC power, control systems, troubleshooting (25 KVA - 4160 KVA), 480 VAC - 120 VAC maintenance.
Automation & Instrumentation – PLC programming, Allen Bradley, Direct Logic, Modbus 485, Honeywell Triconex, Hart 4-20mA, TotalFlow Platforms.
Software & Controls – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, BlueBeam), network radio configuration, Mikrotik Radio, liquid & gas metering.
Oil & Gas Operations – Gas compressor shutdown/service, start-up/shutdown of gas & liquid pipelines, instrument tubing & controls.
Project Management & Leadership – Team training, contractor oversight, budget tracking, compliance verification, audits, contract negotiation.
Safety & Compliance – NEC/NFPA standards, I&E inspections, hazardous liquid handling, fall protection, H2S safety, CPR & first aid.
Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting – Data analysis, preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, cause & effect documentation.
Construction & Field Operations – Electrical installations, conduit runs, VFDs, motor controls, instrumentation, industrial maintenance.
