Robert Half Staff Accountant in Herndon, Virginia
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Herndon, Virginia. This role is centered in the industry, where you will be responsible for managing and resolving backlogs, preparing financial reports, and utilizing various software tools. We offer a short term contract employment opportunity for this role.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the completion of month end closes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage and resolve any backlog of accounting tasks to maintain smooth operations
• Generate treasurers report, profit and loss statements, balance sheet, and other ad-hoc reports as required
• Utilize Sage Intacct, bill.com, and Microsoft Office to perform accounting tasks and manage financial records
• Handle Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries for accurate record keeping
• Contribute to the Month End Close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and accurate
• Demonstrate proficiency in Report Generation using various software tools. Requirements • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
• Aptitude for working with General Ledger
• Experience with Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct software
• Ability to generate comprehensive reports
• Experience with bill.com platform
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
