Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in driving volume to our branch by focusing on business development and service sales. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and working collaboratively with internal teams to meet and exceed sales targets. The role is not limited to a specific vertical, allowing for a broad approach to market expansion and revenue growth.
What You Will Do:
Lead Generation and Qualification: Identify potential clients and generate leads for service contracts. Qualify leads to ensure alignment with business goals and capabilities.
Sales and Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and close service contracts, Master Service Agreements, and Time and Material Agreements with new and existing customers.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers across various sectors to promote new account development and service sales.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities. Use this information to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with branch operation teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
Forecasting and Planning: Deliver accurate sales forecasts and develop plans to achieve specified annual sales targets.
Networking and Events: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, prospect, and identify new business opportunities.
Travel: Travel within the assigned geographic area may be required to meet with clients and support sales activities.
What You Need to Succeed:
·At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the door hardware or related industries.
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical and electronic solutions, as well as experience with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar business software.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Drive and Determination: A competitive drive and determination to meet and exceed sales targets.
Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.
Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in outside sales and an actionable contact list of decision-makers.
Ability to collaborate with local and strategic sales teams.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
The expected Base Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
