Job Title: 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Our contractor will be handling both emergency work and preventative maintenance as needed. This position is on 3rd shift, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am Sunday - Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break. There will be about an hour of overtime each day, and the technician will be scheduled to work every other Saturday. The primary responsibility is to ensure production keeps running smoothly by addressing any issues that arise. They will work on a variety of equipment including baggers, pipes, augers, conveyor belts, food fillers, sealers, freezers, and inkjet printers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned plant equipment.

  • Service, repair, or replace gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and other components.

  • Ensure the mechanical and physical integrity of production equipment.

  • Reduce production downtime resulting from mechanical failures.

  • Complete preventative maintenance measures on time.

  • Assist mechanics with machine repair and equipment troubleshooting.

  • Assist 1st shift production departments with timely setups.

  • Properly and safely use maintenance shop equipment, including drill press, lathe, and pneumatic tools.

  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

  • Perform bending, twisting, and other physical activities as needed.

Work Environment

This is a food manufacturing facility that meets all FDA requirements. The facility is clean, well air-conditioned, and 80% temperature controlled at 55 degrees. Coolers are set at 35 degrees, and freezers range from 0 to -10 degrees. Standard steel-toed boots are required, and the team environment is supportive and collaborative.

This is a Permanent position based out of HOLLAND, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67600.00/yr.

• However - they will consider the amount of time spent as a true maintenance tech at other companies when determining vacation time.

Performance Bonus
