This is an EHS Manager- Manufacturing position located in Horn Lake, MS.

Responsibilities: Facilitate leadership involvement and participation in the safety program and promoting a strong safety culture through monthly updates and a safety scorecard on leading and lagging safety indicators.  Assist leaders with incorporating safety into business planning, meetings, and goals. Investigates individual accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes. Prepares detailed reports and identifies possible recommendations and corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future and communicates these to senior leadership. Cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations. Reports any severe injuries to agencies as required. Analyzes accident history and trends of organization and plant to identify problem areas and develops plans for improvement. Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Work with plant leadership to implement corrective action plans. Design and implement general safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures to be followed by organization personnel in compliance with local, state, federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environment Protection Agency (EPA) rules and regulations. Develop and manage a health and safety-oriented work philosophy among employees that drives a strong safety culture within the plant. This includes development of training materials, safe operating procedures (SOPs), job safety analysis, safety awareness campaigns, safety committees and incentive programs. Develop and manage emergency response plans and procedures. Coordinate safety drills (fire, active threat, severe weather, etc.) and ensure staff is prepared for emergencies. Perform regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace, equipment, and practices. Identify unsafe conditions and practices.  Collaborate with plant leadership and provide corrective recommendations on items found. Coordinate and oversee any third-party safety audits or inspections as required. Compiles and submits 300 log and 300A data online as required by regulatory agencies. Compiles and submits environmental data and works with outside consultants to maintain environmental compliance. Work with outside vendors to coordinate hazardous waste disposal and compliance for the plant. Track emissions, energy use, and waste generation and Oversees the administration of workers' compensation claims. This includes developing systems for timely reporting, monitoring of post-accident drug and alcohol testing program, working with clinic/provider and supervisors/managers on return to work/light duty programs to reduce or eliminate lost time claims. Working with the insurance carrier to submit a work comp claim, manage the claim from date of injury until date the claim is closed, provide any information needed, control costs, monitor the claim file and ensure that the injured employee is getting the service they require from the claims adjusted. Design and conduct safety training programs for employees and contractors. Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure all personnel understand safety policies. Maintain and track training records and certifications. Certified as an OSHA trainer and conduct OSHA 10- and 30-hour manufacturing classes as needed. Work with outside vendors to determine the best quality product and control costs for safety-related supplies, PPE, annual crane inspections, fire extinguisher, safety training, first aid supplies and security services for the plant. Develop and manage plant safety budget. Support sustainability initiatives in the plant collaborating with other departments to develop, implement and track environmental performance and social responsibility. Analize data and communicate sustainability efforts to the leadership team. Train and promot awareness of sustainability practices among employees.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five or more years related safety management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
