On-Call Copy Editor (Digital Media)\ \ Position Overview\ The On-Call Copy Editor will oversee the content creation and editorial process, ensuring high-quality standards and alignment with the company\'s content strategy. This role involves managing a team of writers and collaborating with various departments to produce engaging content that resonates with our audience and meets business objectives.
\ Key Responsibilities
- Program the news of the day on our clients website and mobile app including the curation of content, headline writing, video programming, push notifications, and more as needed.
- Support breaking news coverage and assignments across a variety of platforms including desktop, mobile, and on social media platforms.
- Support special projects associated with development and growth, collaborating with editorial, product and other teams as needed Help execute coverage plans for tentpole events across a variety of content categories, including News, Entertainment, Sports and more.
- Closely track metrics and analytics of content to stay abreast of evolving interests across our ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in editorial roles, preferably in a digital media environment.
- Strong copywriting and creative writing skills with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Familiarity with AP Style and other editorial guidelines.
- Experience copy editing News, Entertainment, and Sports.
- Website/Mobile App Notification copy editing experience.
