Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department)
Function: Responsible for ensuring quality control of the operation, audit and compliance risk of the Business Banking Lending Division functions; requires an advanced knowledge of lending, applicable banking laws, federal and state regulations, Bank policies, & lending platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the efficient and effectiveness of the operations within the Business Banking Lending Division from a quality control aspect by:
Performing pre-audit reviews on loan applications / modifications through a data field validation process to ensure data integrity is maintained for commercial loan documents.
Working with Business Banking Lending Personnel, Bankers and Commercial Loan Documentation Personnel on reprocessing loan applications / modifications for various reasons and tracking, requesting & processing relevant information required by underwriting standards in accordance with the Bank's retention policy.
Conducting SOX testing to ensure the effectiveness of the internal controls.
Ensuring data integrity of the Business Banking Loan Portfolio by reviewing routine reports to identify and resolve system maintenance issues, tracking and validating system maintenance requests, and participating in on-going loan portfolio management projects.
Ensures quality control of the Business Banking loan applications/modifications process for Compliance related items by conducting pre-audit reviews for Underwriting and Doc Prep by:
On-going HMDA, Reg. B (Joint Intent to Apply), CIP, CDD monitoring for procedure effectiveness and training recommendations.
Producing Compliance Documentation for Business Banking loan applications that have been withdraw & declined and on-going monitoring of loan applications not to exceed set timeframes for withdraws to adhere with Compliance guidelines.
Generating Appraisal Disclosures (Reg. B) for Business Banking loan applications when applicable.
Working with the Compliance Department to ensure all applicable regulatory updates are being implemented to the Business Banking Lending operations.
Responsible for the daily and monthly reconciliation of the Appraisal General Ledger account:
Review optima daily for entries made to the account
Review batches processed by the appraisal and accounting departments for accuracy and reconciliation to the account.
Research items 180 days old and work closely with the appraisal and accounting departments as well as Unearned fees processors to balance those items on a monthly basis.
Obtains required approval to carry over items 180 days old or older.
Ensures approved monthly balances are sent to Optima.
Responsible for ordering and receiving UCC searches (basic and detailed), and business name searches in accordance with the Business Banking Lending Division by:
Placing and tracking orders with approved vendors.
Distributing reports to Bankers and support staff
Maintains logs and reports to be used by the Business Banking Lending Division.
Works closely with the BBLD QC/Expediter Supervisor and Business Banking Management by:
Ensuring consistent quality control of all business banking loan applications / modifications.
Reporting all quality control errors, findings and recommending ideas and actions to improve operations.
Preparing reporting and follow up information on all the quality control components of the Business Banking Lending operations.
Obtains and sustains proficiency in the Business Banking Lending Division Origination & Portfolio Management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & Outlook), Internet searches, Core Operating System (FIS), imaging system along with the upgrades to these programs or replacement software and any other con uit available to process all applications as well as prepare required documentation.
Acquires and maintains a thorough knowledge of all applicable laws / regulations and the Bank's Corporate & Lending Policies / Underwriting Manuals to ensure compliance.
Advances knowledge through further education and/or obtaining certifications and attends training on regulatory, platforms and audit issue or concerns.
Assists in the development and maintenance (including updates) of the Quality Control and Expediting Processing manual to be used as both a training and reference manual.
Works closely with the BBLD QC/Expediter Supervisor to ensure all applicable procedures and compliance matters are current and assist on an as-needed basis.
Maintains a positive and productive working relationship with all co-workers, vendors and bank customers. And demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and the Bank.

Physical Demands:
Operates a keypad device, electronic equipment, office equipment: 90% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumb, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, lower and upper torso and feet. The job requires sitting 6 hours per day in a straight and leaning position. Walking is required one hour per day which is slow in speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and filing up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.
Experience: Requires two to five years of general business experience with specialized experience and advanced knowledge in lending, loan documentation, applicable related laws and regulations, including policies, procedures, lending platform, and compliance.

Salary Range:
$15.00 - $29.08
