Conagra Production Manager, Off Shift - Indy Bakery in Indianapolis, Indiana

SUMMARY

As the Production Manager you will lead overall plant productivity and continuous improvement execution on the off shifts. You will build capability across hourly teams and develop salaried leaders. You will improve overall line performance though the implementation of continuous improvement processes and development of a zero loss culture. You will report to the Operations Manager and work at the Indianapolis Bakery location. Pay is negotiable based on experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be a primary resource for line-level production teams across the off shifts to help build CPS and world class results in Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Delivery, and Engagement.

  • You will manage production, maintenance, and sanitation activities across the off shifts to meet plant goals.

  • You will coach your team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications and external interactions.

  • Seek and provide resources for team and provide necessary training to assist the team in reaching its goals.

  • Conduct frequent Safety coaching and implement safe work practices.

  • Reinforces important CPS concepts everyday through coaching and auditing of team members.

  • Provide frequent informal and periodic formal job performance feedback to team.

  • Facilitate and react to non-routine and crisis situations.

  • Provide scheduled personnel coverage for vacations, personal holidays, and for other crews.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the Team Leads, plant production, maintenance, and sanitation during off shift hours.

  • You will be the indirect supervisor of all remaining plant functions (quality, warehouse, receiving) to ensure safety and efficient production.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Plant manufacturing experience.

  • Minimum three (3) years leading high performance teams and engaging team members to improve business results.

  • Familiar with sanitation standards, including CIP systems

  • Working knowledge of production equipment and systems, including maintenance activities.

  • Work off shift hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, you are required to talk and hear. You are frequently required to stand and walk. You are occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. You must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. You will work in a manufacturing environment. You will work in areas that are hot or cold, surfaces may be slippery, climb ladders / stairs. Training and improvement initiatives may require candidate to travel via automobile or aircraft. You will be asked to work a rotating work schedule- nights and weekends, depending on the demands of the business (12-hour shifts).The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job. Compensation:

Pay Range:$79,000-$115,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
