Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Irwindale, California

Description We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the high-tech electronics industry, located in Irwindale, California. As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in managing HR operations, including processing payroll, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support in employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including handling new permanent paperwork and exit documentation.

• Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee records in the HRIS.

• Manage payroll processing, including verification of timecards, deductions, and adjustments of benefits.

• Assist employees with benefits administration, such as enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

• Keep records updated to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

• Prepare HR-related documentation, including employment contracts and disciplinary actions.

• Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications.

• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.

• Assist in HR projects, such as training programs, employee engagement initiatives, and performance evaluations.

• Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system for HR documents. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or HR-related field

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Knowledge and experience with Ceridian and HRMS

• Proficiency with About Time software

• Demonstrated skills in auditing

• Experience conducting background checks

• Familiarity with benefit functions

• Strong customer service skills

• Experience in payroll processing TalentMatch®
