SUMMARY:
ASM Global/SMG/accesso ShoWare Center, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for part-time Event Services Coordinator at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington. This position is responsible for the logistics coordination, staffing, and execution of various events at the facility.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the planning and servicing of events through all stages of the event lifecycle
Assist with staffing requirements and develop schedules for the proper execution of the event
Prepare and distribute all necessary event documentation
Check public areas for correct seating setup, safety hazards and equipment setup prior to doors opening
Manage the check-out, distribution, and return of uniforms, radios, ticket scanners, and any other facility-owned equipment
Respond to any guest escalation incidents including, but not limited to, injuries, ejections, and illnesses with a positive attitude and demeanor
Ensure event standards and procedures are followed with regards to tickets, entry, conduct, etc.
Assist with the training of new event staff
Log and track all required information on appropriate forms, including but not limited to, incident reports, lost and found log, staffing sheets
Help to prepare event cost estimates and compile hours for event staff
Assist in event advancement and venue preparation regarding rentals, outside agencies, hospitality needs, etc.
Create event diagrams, data sheets and forms
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and two (2) years related event experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is recommended
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as well as during normal business hours
Knowledge of event planning, venue logistics and crowd management procedures desirable
Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs for duration of the event shift
May be exposed to adverse weather conditions
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets, Forms)
Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines while working independently
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
Remain flexible and professional, and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations
Employees are eligible to join our 401K after 1 year and 100 hours of service. Holidays worked are paid at time and a half. Sick Time is accrued at 1 hour for every 30 worked and can be used in 2-hour increments or more. Employees (and family) will be eligible for Medical, Dental & Vision benefits when completing 1560 hours in a 365-day time frame.
