We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense (DoD) market.
Are you an experienced Mechanical Superintendent with a passion for government and military construction projects? We're seeking a highly skilled and well-rounded individual to join our Field Operations team in the King's Bay, GA and Jacksonville, FL areas. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise all mechanical construction activities, including Sheet Metal, Plumbing, Insulation, Pipefitting, and Welding teams.
Coordinate assigned crews and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of mechanical work in compliance with project requirements and timelines.
Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications, maintaining a strong alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Work closely with the Superintendent to support the coordination of multiple scopes of work across the project site.
Manage mechanical installations for government and military projects, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and safety standards.
Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to keep projects on track.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, emphasizing teamwork and professionalism across all crews and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications:
Five or more years of experience as a Mechanical Foreman or Superintendent, managing crews on projects with a plumbing scope of at least $400,000 (commercial or industrial).
Three or more years of field or trade experience working with pressurized mechanical systems (government, military, or large commercial construction projects preferred).
Experience in the design-build industry is a plus.
CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required (training can be provided).
High school diploma or GED required, with preference given to candidates who have completed courses in construction management or plumbing trade school.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook preferred).
BIM software knowledge is preferred, with training available.
