Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for a University in South CentralPennsylvania (Susquehanna River Valley). The Operations Manager 3 for this higher education opportunity will oversee resident and retail business on campus, at this account. The best-qualified candidate will possess good team-building, financial acumen, client relationships, and diverse culinary skills. Experience in supervising authentic diverse culinary menus is important.

What You'll Do

  • Establishes a safe work environment

  • Assumes the General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in their absence

  • Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

  • Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

  • Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

  • Develops and implements plans, and projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables, and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement -Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
