Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Los Angeles, California
Description We are seeking a diligent Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, handling tasks such as data entry, recordkeeping, transaction processing, financial reporting, compliance and auditing, and communication and collaboration in a detail-oriented setting.
Responsibilities:
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting software systems.
• Maintain detailed financial records for reporting purposes.
• Participate in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including the processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and track financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee cash receipts and deposits, verifying amounts and completing necessary documentation.
• Generate reports including trial balances and financial summaries to support decision-making.
• Assist in generating month-end and year-end financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and records.
• Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payment discrepancies and clarifications.
• Work with other departments to gather and provide financial information as needed.
This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing procedures
• Skilled in Data Entry
• Knowledge of Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle is preferred
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software
• Knowledge of SAP or similar accounting software.
