Project Management & Project Control Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking ahighly organized and detail-oriented Project Management & Project Control Specialistto supportproject planning, scheduling, cost analysis, and reportingefforts. This role is critical in providing administrative and analytical support toproject managers and PMO teamswhile ensuring the successful execution of programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Administration & Support

  • Provideadministrative and coordination supportto project managers and teams.

  • Assist in thedevelopment and implementation of project control policies and procedures.

  • Research, analyze, and prepare reports formanagement.

    Project Planning & Controls

  • Support and leadproject controls effortsfor scheduling, cost analysis, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Developspecialized work breakdown structures (WBS)for complex projects.

  • Create and manageproject schedules, tasks, resources, and costsusing Microsoft Project or similar tools.

  • Collect and analyze data, providingstrategic recommendationsfor project improvement.

Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Prepareexpenditure forecasts and project budgetsto ensure cost-effective project execution.

  • Track project financials and assist withcost monitoring and variance analysis.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare and coordinatepresentations, reports, and project-related recommendations.

  • Provide guidance and specialized assistance to project managers forcomplex project control issues.

  • Support the preparation ofpublic sector solicitation documentationin compliance withMetropolitan procedures.

Other Project Management Duties

  • Assist in process improvements forproject management methodologies and best practices.

  • Ensure projects comply withorganizational policies, regulations, and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5-10 yearsof experience in project management and project controls.Proficiency inproject scheduling and tracking tools(Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar).Strong understanding ofcost analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting.Skilled inMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

?Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)certification.? Experience working inpublic sector, construction, infrastructure, or water-related projects.? Knowledge ofcontract administration and solicitation processes.
