Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of test equipment, with a focus on our flagship model, the 'Eclipse' test machine. Your duties will include building machines from blueprints, completing plumbing and electrical wiring using hand tools and power tools. This position is for the 2nd shift, working from 4:30 pm to 3 am Monday through Thursday, with initial training from 12:00pm to 10:30 pm before transitioning to the 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
Build machines from blueprints
Complete plumbing and electrical wiring
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble equipment
Ensure the mechanical assembly of test equipment meets quality standards
Essential Skills
Ability to read blueprints
Proficiency in using screwdrivers, impact guns, and pliers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude to assemble from a print or diagram
Work Environment
Our company is a leading manufacturer and assembler of pathology, histology, necropsy, and morgue equipment. We maintain a clean work environment and value long-term employment. The facility includes multiple areas for work in process, starting with raw materials and creating finished products under one roof. Departments include Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving. The dress code includes working attire with a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel toe boots.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
