Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description
The medical device quality technician inspects parts to specifications that are on a part drawing. This person will perform part inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, plug gages, and thread gages. They will also document all measurements taken, so experience working in a GMP environment is important. Additionally, this person will be trained to use an ERP system, specifically SAP, to enter acceptance data and the nonconforming material reports system to enter failure data.
Responsibilities
Inspect parts according to specifications on part drawings.
Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, plug gages, and thread gages.
Document all measurements taken during inspections.
Operate within a GMP environment.
Enter acceptance data into an ERP system (SAP).
Input failure data into nonconforming material reports.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience working as a quality technician.
2+ years of experience with micrometers, calipers, and gage pins.
2+ years of experience with part inspection and reading blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in quality assurance.
Familiarity with visual inspection.
Knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
Understanding of sub-assembly processes.
Experience with product defect identification.
Knowledge of metrology and calibration.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 4 PM and Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM. The team manufactures medical devices used in the NICU for babies who have difficulty breathing on their own. The INOMax DSIR system, paired with pharmaceutical gas, is mixed with oxygen in a ventilator and administered to patients.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
