Dunn County Highway Maintenance Worker - CDL in Manning, North Dakota
The Highway Maintenance Worker safely operates semi-truck and trailer while hauling material necessary for road maintenance. Incumbents are responsible for performing semi-skilled and skilled manual labor by maintaining and repairing County highways, bridges, and other properties. Responsibilities include operating light and heavy equipment in performing maintenance of highways and bridges; performing routine/minor equipment repairs; and assisting in the installation of new signs, and posts for traffic services as needed.
- Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment to a varying degree of difficulty, including but not limited to the following: semi-tractor trailer, dump trucks, motor graders, front end loaders, bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, rollers, mowers, asphalt related equipment, and other equipment associated with road and bridge maintenance.

- Participates with other maintenance personnel to perform general labor duties using hand tools including but not limited to: shovels, rakes, post-hole diggers, brooms, scrapers, for use in shop and grounds maintenance, asphalt patching, preparing culvert beds, snow removal, etc.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Class A North Dakota Drivers License.
- Successfully pass a DOT medical examination when renewing commercial driver's license required to operate assigned equipment .
