Consultant, please conduct a seated interview. Place of Employment Information: Kent, Washington. Period of Intended Employment: 05/01/2025 -12/31/2025.Workers must have 3 months\' work experience.
Job Duties: Farmworker will participate in general duties associated with a commercial farming operation including but not limited to; planting, growing, harvesting and packing of various row crops. In addition, individual will comply with all safety, labor, and food safety requirements; maximize crop by best weeding and harvesting practices; perform work on and off tractors, that seed crops, transplant crops, spray crops, and cultivate fields; hand harvest crops, perform work moving and setting up irrigation pipes and attend all safety meetings. Crops: Vegetable row crops, herbs, and annuals. These crops listed may or may not be planted and employer is not limited to only these crops listed. Grower may grow one or more of the listed crops depending on many variables including favorable available markets, favorable plant stock, and unexpected land availability, favorable weather conditions, poor crop and weather conditions in other growing areas and other factors that cannot be determined at the time the application is made. Farmers will frequently decide whether to plant these crops and what crops they will plant after this job order is submitted. Crops may not be determined until well after the employment has begun. The anticipated work periods involved in these other crops vary widely and can occur at any time during the growing season and during the course of employment period. Specific Job Requirements: 1. Have a minimum of 3 verifiable months experience in growing and harvesting vegetable row crops on a commercial farming operation 2. Experience in hand harvested fresh vegetable quality control; These skills include (but are not limited to) tillage and field/bed preparation, seeding; transplanting seedlings, hoeing, hand weeding, field cultivation, hand harvest vegetable management, record keeping and presenting high quality vegetables for packing 3. Are legally entitled to work in the U.S. 4. Meet all of the qualifications of the clearance order 5. Are available to commit to work the entire length of the contract 6. Workers state he/she is physically able to perform the job requirements 7. Have transportation to the job site if the worker does not reside in employer housing and/or is a local worker 8. Be able to lift up to 60 pounds continuously throughout the day. Worker must possess 3 months of row crop experience. Verification of employment qualifications will require the applicant to provide the name, address and phone number for the employer where they gained the required experience. Said employer will be called, to determine whether the applicant did work and gain the required experience there. The applicant will be notified of the outcome of the reference check within 2 business days.B4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs Worker must state he/she is physically able to perform the job requirements. B4f) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. B4g) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, vegetable containers, etc. B4h) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, pruning, etc. B4i) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. B4j) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding, etc General Job Specifications: 1.Must be able to perform all duties within this job description in what an be considered a safe manner adhering to all established orchard safety guidelines, practices and procedures. 2.Must wear all required and assigned personal protective equipment at all times when required to do so. Worker must wear proper clothing and footwear depending on the season. All footwear must be closed-toed and durable due to safety precautions. 3.The Employer or designated worker will provide instructions and general supervision. Workers will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each day? s work. 4.Workers will be required to attend an orientation on workplace rules, policies and safety information. 5.Individuals who are not employed by the Employer will not be permitted in or adjacent to the work site. In particular, no non-working children may be present at or adjacent to work sites or left in vehicles during the workday. Workers arriving at work with non-working children or other non-workers will be sent home. 6.Workers who are eligible for Employer provided housing will have employer arranged transportation from the housing to the worksite. 7.All other duties assigned under this order will be those duties of Farm Worker, Diversified Crops, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification (SOC code) identified in section . GENERAL CONDITIONS: Work begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in freezing or high heat temperatures.
