Job Title: Mixing Department Operator

Job Description

The candidate will work in the mixing department, which is an electrically classified area. The primary responsibility is to mix powder products to create adhesive for construction sites. This involves cutting open bags of powder and loading them into a machine. The bags are lifted automatically to waist height to minimize physical strain.

Responsibilities

  • Mix powder products to make adhesive for construction sites.

  • Cut open bags of powder and load them into a machine.

  • Lift bags weighing 50+ lbs consistently.

  • Manage and monitor powder levels in the machine.

  • Load bags into a hopper machine.

  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production and mixing processes.

  • Knowledge of batching, compounding, and blending.

  • General production skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Positive attitude.

  • Great attendance record.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing mixing room that is very dusty. It is not a glamorous environment, but all necessary safety equipment is provided. Employees will wear uniforms and respirators as part of their daily attire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mattawan, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
