Family Guidance Center of Alabama Parent Educator in Monroeville, Alabama

Remote (Must Live in Monroe or Conecuh County) Will work from home and travel to do in-home visits.

The Parent Educator provides in-home visits and delivering curriculum-based support to families. Responsibilities include assessing needs, setting goals, documenting visits, and connecting families to resources. Essential Skills for job: strong communication and interpersonal skills. organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, early childhood development, strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability.

Other desired skills: Active listening skills, cultural competency, confidentiality and ethical conduct, teaching and coaching, presentation skills, basic technical troubleshooting.

Requirements:

(1) Valid Driver License

(2) Education Requirement - Qualified applicant must have a high school diploma or a GED and/or actively working on a degree as long as they have at least one year of child development experience.

Qualified applicant is eligible if they hold a degree in Child Development, Social Work, Family Studies, or a related field.

(3) Requires computer / typing skills - will use laptop, iPad, iPhone, Printer, Microsoft Office and Google Suite, Data Management Software, Video Conferencing Tools on job.

Employer will complete Background Check and Reference Check before Hiring is complete.
