Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating one or more pieces of equipment to convert materials to established specifications. You will select proper job supplies, verify material conformity, and ensure proper storage and cleanliness. Additionally, you will package materials for shipment, assist in inventory monitoring, and ensure all quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Perform all duties necessary to set up, adjust, and operate equipment to convert materials to established specifications.
Select proper job supplies and verify material conformity; load and align materials to prevent waste.
Transfer completed materials to skids, pallets, or containers and repackage unused bulk stock.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Package or prepare materials for shipment, tag or label materials, and complete work orders and records.
Assist in monitoring required supplies, materials, and equipment and fill out inventory use slips.
Perform job within rated production standards and provide feedback when standards are exceeded.
Follow and comply with rules and regulations as listed in the Associate Handbook.
Ensure all quality standards are met, perform tests, and complete data collection/documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Converting Supervisor or lead person.
Essential Skills
2+ years of Machine Operator experience
2+ years of high-speed machine operator experience
Ability to read and write
Ability to read a tape measure
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with production, machine operation, hand tools, and troubleshooting
Ability to work rotating shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am)
Willingness to work 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) and be open to working during the week and on Saturdays

Work Environment
You will work in a large, clean manufacturing facility, mostly independently but sometimes in small groups of 2-3. The facility operates on rotating shifts.
This position runs on a 12 hour, 2-2-3 schedule. There are openings on AM and PM Shifts (6:00-6:00)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
