Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in New York, New York

Description We are in search of a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in New York. As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will provide vital technical support to end users, addressing both hardware and software issues across a range of devices and applications. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical assistance to end users regarding issues with desktop and laptop computers, network connectivity, printers, and various software applications.

• Assist users in resolving software and hardware problems in a timely manner.

• Document and record procedures for new hardware and software.

• Configure, deploy, and support various mobile devices for all users, including Blackberry, Windows Mobile Devices, Android, and iPhones.

• Work with Configuration Management systems servers such as SCCM, Altiris.

• Maintain Universal Computer image and Software Packages.

• Monitor and report on Software/Hardware compliance.

• Administer software updates and patch management for the desktop environment.

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, Microsoft Windows operating system, device drivers, and associated peripherals.

• Troubleshoot email clients such as Microsoft Outlook and administer Active Directory. Requirements • Proficiency in Office Suites including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to understand and follow procedures and compliance regulations.

• Proven experience in technical support roles, specifically desktop support.

• Familiarity with Windows and other operating systems.

• Proficient in Active Directory and deskside support tasks.

• Knowledge of server systems and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues on desktops, laptops, and other computer hardware.

• Familiarity with peripheral equipment such as printers and scanners.

• Experience with Apple devices, Android, and Blackberry.

• Proficient in diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues.

• Experience with software application support.

• Understanding of printer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Broad knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
