Amazon Senior Program Manager, Operations, Advertising Trust, Policy Operations in New York, New York

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Program Manager to drive operational excellence across our Ad Policy Operations team. In this high-impact role, you'll shape how we scale and optimize end-to-end policy's operational processes, from policy inception through enforcement, all while maintaining the highest standards of trust, efficiency, and scale.

You will be responsible for deeply understanding the processes we maintain, you will relentlessly seek out improvement opportunities, and you will act as an advocate for our customers, advertisers, and our team. Your responsibilities will also include tracking, analysis, and reporting activities. A successful candidate enjoys investigating ambiguous and complex business processes, has a track record of successfully leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives, has strong analytical capabilities, is an effective communicator, has strong stakeholder management skills, and will dive deep into the weeds of a problem to find solutions. You will work cross-functionally across the ads business, working directly with Policy, Sales, Operations, Product, and others, including senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives to streamline ad policy operations, improving efficiency while maintaining quality, compliance, and trust.

• Design and implement scalable workflows and processes across global advertising teams.

• Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and Policy teams to drive automation and tool improvements.

• Develop metrics frameworks and analytics to measure operational health and drive data-informed decisions.

• Lead cross-functional programs to improve policy decision-making, accuracy, and consistency.

• Build and maintain executive-level reporting on operational performance and strategic initiatives.

• Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple teams and regions.

Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon and that growth generates challenges in managing huge volumes of advertising submissions while maintaining a high customer experience and working at the speed that advertisers demand. As part of the Advertising Trust team, you will have high visibility across Amazon business lines, helping to establish the right customer experience and long-term strategy for the success of Amazon Advertising. We are a global and diverse team with a long tenure in online advertising and expertise in developing customer experience solutions for highly sensitive and restricted categories of advertising.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience leading process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience with online advertising, advertising policy, content moderation, or trust & safety operations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
