Assesses clinical documentation adequacy to validate the MDS. Make Medicare coverage determinations for new admissions and continuation of coverage decisions for existing patients in coordination with the Compliance and Reimbursement Specialist. Completes QI reports as requested Completes Care Area Assessments that lead to Care Plan development Participates in the interdisciplinary team meetings such as Care Conference, Spotlight Meetings, Quality Educate clinical staff about the MDS process. Fill in for the Compliance and Reimbursement Specialist when needed. Communicates with insurance companies when requested Completes the MDS Submission process as needed Is the RN Assessment Coordinator for the MDS Provides Assessment for MDS's completed by LPN's Knowledgeable in the use of windows based software applications, good communication skills. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
