    Minimum Requirements:

    NYS Teaching Certification in English

    Position Summary/Responsibilities:

    Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to state curriculum and standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students;

    Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged;

    Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence based interventions as appropriate;

    Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement;

    Stay current with best practices in English education and professional development opportunities;

    Responsible for implementing Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices based on work of Zaretta Hammond;

    Formative and Summative assessments of students (including report cards);

    Advocating for additional support for students not meeting standards;

    Proactively communicate with families;

    Collaboration in Professional Learning Communities with peers;

    All other duties as assigned.

    All teachers who are new to Greece will be required to attend two teacher induction days August 18th and 19th.

    Additionally, all Teachers will be required to to work 1 Teacher day in the Month of August (occurring between August 18th-29th).
