Job Description: Pilot Plant Operator
Description:
As a Pilot Plant Operator, you will support the team's units by operating pilot plant scale equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
Assembling and modifying equipment according to plans and direction from the team.
Maintaining working areas of the pilot plant.
Processing raw rock materials for experiments.
Handling strong acids and bases according to the needs of the test plan.
Validating and troubleshooting operational parameters from test plans.
Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks.
Recording and managing measurements during experiments in premade Excel templates.
Collaborating and working synergistically with teammates.
Skills:
Chemical
Troubleshooting
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a sciences field, with a experience in Chemistry preferred.
2+ years of experience working in a plant or startup operating environment.
Ability to operate process equipment (e.g., pumps, mixers, heaters, filters) after receiving job-specific training.
Ability to operate mechanical equipment (e.g., crushing, pressing) after receiving job-specific training.
Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to comfortably lift and move up to 40 pounds of materials without assistance.
Strong commitment to work safety.
Experience working in a machine shop or laboratory environment.
Attention to detail and safety awareness.
Comfortable with tools such as Microsoft Suite, Slack, and Google products.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
