Aerotek Production Supervisor in Oakland, Mississippi
Aerotek is hiring a Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day processing functions to maximize the placement of people and use of raw materials to produce products at or below standard budgeted costs.
Provide products and services that meet product specifications and customer requirements.
Champion the company's mission statement and values.
Ensure that all safety, quality, and sanitation guidelines are met.
Communicate previous shift issues to incoming shift supervisors and develop action plans to resolve issues.
Achieve budgeted goals for efficiency on an ongoing basis.
Manage the system to run the line at a minimum of 98% efficiency and consistently achieve first-hour results at 100% or better.
Manage waste to less than 2%.
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate associates to achieve production goals.
Essential Skills
3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
AA degree or college coursework.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
Prior experience working in a USDA environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of GMP and food environment standards.

Work Environment
The production area is a constant 45 degrees, with some areas below freezing. The facility is USDA regulated and very clean. Steel toe boots are required, and all other PPE such as earplugs and hair nets are provided. Shifts available are: 1st shift (6 a.m. - 3 p.m.), 2nd shift (2 p.m. - 11 p.m.), and 3rd shift (10 p.m. - 7 a.m.), working 6 days a week for 9-10 hours each day.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
