Delta Dental Plan of Michigan, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Sharepoint System Support Engineer (SSSSE) based in Okemos, MI. The primary duties of the Senior Sharepoint System Support Engineer (SSSSE) are to design, plan, evaluate, and administer SharePoint software and Microsoft Project solutions, both in the cloud and on premise. This position provides support for all departments in maintaining the company intranet site. This position coordinates maintenance and applies patching and regular updates to supported application systems. Specific duties include: 1) Develop and implement enterprise strategy for SharePoint software and MS Project solutions and is primary interface to all departments in support of the enterprise intranet. 2) Primary administrator and level 1 and 2 approver for all Tools, Automation, Monitoring, and Storage change management functions, including back-end application support, configuration tuning and optimization, and scripting. 3) Design and develop application solutions with SharePoint and Project in compliance with Service Management policies and procedures. 4) Utilize scripting to assist in creating tools for the Project Office to analyze financial data from both the payroll system and finance systems. 5) Participate in planning and coordination of work assignments, projects, internal policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards. 6) First responder to all incidents involving supported applications. 7) Participate in the collection and analysis of performance monitoring involving supported applications. 8) Assist architects in developing solution summaries and design activities for new product implementation. 9) Create, updates, and maintains department work instructions and documentation, and provides regular review to ensure accuracy. 10) Lead technical Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new tools and services, and ensures requirements and timelines are met. 11) Develop and conduct training sessions on technical matters and new technology trends for internal and external audiences. 12) Research complex technical issues and implements solutions and process improvements. 13) Convert classic pages to modern pages and migrate content from classic team sites to modern team sites. 14) Create technical design documents by translating business and functional requirements into system requirements. 15) Convert custom written intranet solutions to Out of The Box (OOTB) functionality. 16) Develop custom web parts and web apps for deployment. Technologies and tools utilized by the Release Manager include: LDAP, Active Directory, system monitoring, SharePoint Project applications and associated web application solutions, Microsoft Teams Messaging, automated job scheduling systems, InfoPath, PowerApps, Content Management, ASP.NET, .Net, SQL Server, PowerShell, M365, Azure. Position requires the ability to be scheduled to provide on-call support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Position is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement. Worker must live within a commutable distance of Okemos, MI and be able to work in-office as required.
