SHADE LANDSCAPE SUPPLY LLC Farm Worker - Helper (Temporary) in OREM, Utah
Temporary Need: 04/07/25 - 12/01/25. Three (3) full-time, seasonal, temporary Farm Workers/Helpers needed. Wage is $17.84/hour. Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon. to Fri.; 8:00am- 5:00pm. Possible weekend/holiday work. Three (3) months of experience. Work location: Orem, Utah. Duties may include: Plant, harvest, and water plants, receive and prepare plants for shipment, maintain plants in their varying growing stages, use tractor to move plants and materials, help with delivery to customer locations, regular maintenance and cleanup of premises. Worker may operate dump truck, forklift, excavator, and tractor scooper, and other related Farm Worker; Helper activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Terms and conditions of employment: Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 80lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense due to working in conditions with the public. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid Driver's License in the State of Utah within 2 weeks of reporting to work. Workers will be required to keep all property and housing clean. The employer will provide to the worker at no charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Workers must be available for the entire work period; be able to perform manual as well as mechanized activities with accuracy and efficiency; work at a sustained, vigorous pace on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Must be able to provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage (AWER) that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest rate).
