WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
CHI’s Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that the agency’s internal processes and infrastructure supports CHI’s mission driven initiatives. The Facilities Manager will perform a range of administrative and hands-on property related functions within the agency. Under the direction and supervision of the VP of Property Management, the Facilities Manager will coordinate all assigned special projects, renovations and routine maintenance for all facilities agency wide.
Facilities:
Monitoring the facility’s maintenance budget to ensure fiscal prudency.
Entering work orders and assisting in completing when necessary.
Scheduling and managing routine maintenance on all building systems.
Mitigating risk and overseeing safety and security for all facilities’ maintenance infrastructure
Inspecting all facilities routinely to look for issues.
Completing unit turn overs and renovations when needed.
Overseeing all contractors that work with all facilities agency wide.
Ensuring facilities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Handling long-range planning to support future needs and growth.
Helping with plans for renovations, additions, or new building
Coordinating with external contractors and assure satisfaction of job completion.
Administrative Operations:
Coach, mentor, prioritize and assign daily responsibilities for maintenance staff.
Facilities Management (including office leases, office equipment, furniture, camera systems, office supplies, etc.)
Under the direction of the VP of Property Management, implement an efficient procurement procedure for supply ordering.
Manage inventory supply of all maintenance equipment agency wide.
Maintain work orders through YARDI system.
Hold staff meetings with direct reports to ensure effective communication.

Salary: $65,000 annually Exempt
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. 24/7 on call responsibilities

Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license. May be required to drive an agency vehicle.
Responsible for being available to respond to emergencies
Knowledge of different trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
Ability to travel to satellite locations throughout the agency, both within and outside of region as needed.
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
Refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel.
Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization and decision making.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising multiple projects at once
Intermediate or expert level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Outlook, and on the internet.
Strong and evident belief in the mission and core values of Community Housing Innovations.
