Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to work as an Assistant Nurse Manager within the Surgical Care Unit. The SCU (Surgical Care Unit) is a 36 bed medical-surgical unit with a specialized focus on patients receiving inpatient surgical interventions. A portion of the unit, the Jim Craigie Center for Joint Replacement, is a dedicated use area for total hip and knee replacement patients. The Surgical Care Unit is certified as a Bariatric Center of Excellence and Joint Commission Advanced Hip and Knee Replacement Center.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • You will be required to work three (12-hour) night shifts per week.

  • You will also be required to work at least three weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • ANM's are primary administrative support to the staff and managers. In addition, they have clinical operations, quality compliance responsibilities and unit patient flow Facilitates leadership roles of professional and support staff.

  • Safety Stand up/Bed Meeting

  • Employee File Maintenance & Competencies

  • Leader Rounding

  • EOC Rounds/Issues

What We Require for this Role:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of

Related Work Experience

  • 15 months of RN experience required

  • 1 year of charge nurse/ANM experience preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required

  • Active NJ RN license required

  • National Nursing Certification preferred
