About the role :

As a CBRE Data Center Sr. Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing expert preventative maintenance and repair services for mechanical and electrical assets at a large data center campus..

This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide formal supervision to direct and indirect reports. Monitor the training and development of all staff by conducting performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • • Point of contact for the client while working with key stakeholders to meet all KPI/SLA requirements.

  • • Manage subcontractor performance by reviewing all quality of works, cost, and compliance with SLAs and processes.

  • • Manage annual and monthly financial processes: Setting budgets, forecasting, reviewing actuals, and leading to overall healthy budget conditions for the client and CBRE.

  • • Confirm completion of work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe.

  • • Ensure compliance with all client processes/procedures

  • • Resolve unforeseen circumstances that occur and inform the client or executive management when needed.

  • • Verify facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed SLA timeframe.

  • • Oversee Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests.

  • • Confirm all advanced deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.

  • • Lead a safe environment with a focus on continuous improvement and implementing best practices.

  • • Review and approve Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

  • • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

  • • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

What you’ll need :

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

  • • In-depth knowledge of working within Google products (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc)
