Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Operate equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials and create flavor products. Ensure understanding of all safety, quality, and operational procedures relevant to the role. Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling. Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information during the production process. Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment. Develop understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, swabbing of equipment, etc., and follow policies surrounding Quality Control needs.
Responsibilities
Operate equipment to utilize raw ingredient materials precisely.
Ensure understanding of all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling.
Use computer, scan gun, or other tools to correctly match ingredients to shop orders.
Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information during the production process.
Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment.
Develop understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, swabbing of equipment, etc., and follow related policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical, food, or nutraceutical environment.
Experience in lifting, blending, machine operating, etc.
Knowledge of machine operating and production.
Strong emphasis on safety.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math skills, including ratios and weighing of products.
Knowledge of FDA/GMP regulations.
Ability to follow procedures and directions to properly identify products and follow formulas.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs on a regular basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Good attitude and motivation.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment
This is a flavor and fragrances manufacturing company specializing in sweet flavors such as strawberry, root beer, and peanut butter. The facility currently has only 15 people, so the ability to work alone and take initiative is essential. Training will be from 5 am to 1:30 pm for 2-4 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
