The Technical Product Management - Data Operations Senior Manager is responsible for global standardization within MedTech ERP technology solutions in the Data Operations area. The Product Owner leads design, validation, and delivery of data capabilities aligned with business priorities and long term strategies. This role will be responsible for delivering global Data solutions that ignite growth and deliver value across Medical Devices Technology using the SAP S4 HANA platform, SAP MDG and other supply chain systems across the J&J network. This role will contribute to architecture decisions of all associated systems including integration methodology, business processes, master data, process re-engineering and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Product Vision: Define the technical roadmap for the Data Operations, including SAP MDG system, considering scalability, performance, and integration with other systems, ensuring the technical architecture aligns with business goals.
Backlog Management: Manage the Data Operations product backlog, prioritizing technical features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business needs and technical feasibility.
Requirement Analysis: Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for the development team, considering data quality rules, validation checks, and workflow processes.
Collaboration with Developers: Work closely with the development team to ensure technical solutions are implemented optimally, providing guidance on design decisions, coding standards, and testing strategies.
Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of MDG functionalities, data models, configuration options, and integration capabilities to make informed technical decisions.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of the Data operations platforms, identifying bottlenecks and proposing technical solutions to optimize data quality and processing speed.
Partner Management: Communicate technical aspects of the MDG system to both technical and non-technical partners, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required; degree or focused degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, Operations, Business, Data Science, IT or a related field is preferred.
Required 10 years of technology experience with ERP and / or Data Management, with experience designing, developing, implementing, and running operational technological processes within a global organization
People management (inclusive of developing, mentoring and coaching) experience.
Must have experience leading technology teams and developing and implementing a data solution.
Solid grasp of the underlying technical architecture and benefits of technologies for Data management and operations, preferably S/4 HANA, SAP MDG.
Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and anticipate/identify complex problems.
Versatility and agility to work in a constantly evolving environment with enthusiasm
Ensure appropriate and effective communication flow among partners and leadership.
Direct experience leading supply chain projects with Scaled Agile methodologies
Has deep understanding of business value and IT capabilities, and able to relate priorities to associated technology investments.
Experience working in a global environment and leading teams across multiple countries.
Experience effectively collaborating and managing partners.
Required knowledge in the management of GxP and SOX validated systems.
Preferred:
Applied knowledge of S/4 HANA and SAP MDG
Experience with Syniti applications.
Knowledge of business (Supply Chain and/or Life Sciences, Medical Devices business), Tech-based innovation (Technology Trends, IT Product Expertise), Business & data analytics (Data Management, Data Driven Insights), IT planning & portfolio management (Planning, Program / Project Management).
Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, etc.)
Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and work in an environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist
Preferred: JIRA experience. Knowledge of SAP Cloud Integration Gateway Knowledge of cloud solutions, virtual platforms, and the future roadmap for SAP’s support of cloud.

We are expanding the MD ERP organization structure, looking to expand our team footprint across all J&J locations in the U.S. This role will require up to 25% travel.
Given that peers and partners are in multiple global locations, this role must be willing to adapt to flexible schedule to meet global time-zone requirements.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$118,000- $203,550.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
