GCG Pricing & Data Analyst - Automation & Factory Solutions in Rochester Hills, Michigan
Overview
GCG Automation & Factory Solutions is currently seeking a Pricing & Data Analyst to support our pricing and business strategy through data collection, analysis, and reporting . This role is critical to helping the organization understand sales performance, customer segmentation, pricing elasticity, and market dynamics, ultimately enabling smarter, data-informed decisions .
As our Pricing & Data Analyst, you will build dashboards, generate reports, and identify pricing opportunities by analyzing product mix, margin trends, and competitive positioning . This position requires a strong analytical mindset, comfort working with large datasets, and the ability to communicate insights clearly across departments such as Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product Management.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement from our offices located at 2119 Austin Ave Rochester Hills, Michigan.
What you’ll do
Data Analysis & Visualization
Collect, clean, and analyze sales, margin, and customer behavior data
Build and maintain interactive dashboards that highlight key pricing and performance metrics
Identify gaps in data processes and recommend automation or efficiency improvements
Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare regular reports on order and sales trends, pricing performance, and customer/product mix
Support forecasting for pricing adjustments and revenue planning
Collaborate with business stakeholders to address ad hoc reporting requests
Market & Competitive Research
Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to identify opportunities and risks
Use findings to inform strategic pricing models
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to ensure pricing strategies align with business goals
Operate within an agile environment, responding to evolving data and reporting needs
Tools & Systems
Utilize enterprise data platforms and tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Rubbertree) to create pricing models and visualize data
Assist in developing pricing scenarios and actionable insights
Customer Segmentation
- Analyze customer data to identify segments and support value-based pricing strategies
Compliance & Process Standards
- Ensure that all pricing practices align with company policy and legal standards
What you’ll bring
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
2–4 years of experience in pricing analysis, data analytics, or a similar role
Additional certifications in data analytics or pricing strategy are a plus
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools such as SQL, WebQuery, Power BI, Rubbertree
Working knowledge of pricing models, statistical analysis, and business intelligence platforms
Experience handling large datasets and translating findings into actionable insights
Detail-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to present data-driven recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
