Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Nursery Workers to work in Rochester, MN. From: 03/17/2025 to 11/17/2025 Work: 56 hrs./week, Mon. - Sun. 8 hrs./day Job Duties: Daily tasks are, but not limited to; planting plants on our automated planting line or by hand, hand-watering, weeding, deadheading, pulling landscape, contractor, and garden center orders, keeping detailed records when planting, shipping, and pulling orders, and loading/unloading of plant product and other greenhouse goods. This position also requires being able to work in a variety of weather conditions. To be successful, you must be physically capable of bending, twisting, being on your feet for long hours, and able to lift at least 25 lbs. repeatedly. You also may be asked to assist in other departments, such as garden center, field work with trees, or ornamental potted trees and shrubs (Woody Plants). As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay, which is $18.15 Per Hour. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
