The Maintenance Mechanic III will be a highly self-motivated, customer-centric team player with the ability to work independently and lead other team members designing solutions for difficult problems, managing outside contractors, working on call for emergencies and leading multiple projects and daily activities under tight timelines.

  • Wednesday - Saturday 6:00am - 4:30pm

    What You’ll Do

  • Work independently without supervision to troubleshoot all conveyor material handling systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems

  • Develop and execute plans to accomplish departmental and operational goals

  • Design, layout, and reconfiguration of existing systems as necessary

  • Utilize CMMS system to create, maintain and validate team’s work schedule and workflow

  • Work regularly on aerial platform lifts, boom/snorkel lifts, and powered industrial trucks (reach, order picker, stand up, pallet runners, stock chaser, etc.)

  • Mentor team members by motivating, providing guidance and direct feedback to help them achieve their goals, improve individual performance and seek out training opportunities on more technical functions

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Responsible for keeping and maintaining tools, supplies, and a clean, organized work area

  • Will perform emergency repairs in high pressure circumstances

    What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in industrial maintenance and/or combined certification(s)

  • Ability to lead, mentor and train team members

  • Proficient reading and comprehending electrical schematics and using associated tools such as volt/ohm meter, etc. (120,240,480VAC, 24VDC)

  • Ability to install, maintain, & troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders

  • Proficient using hand & power tools and electrical testing equipment

  • Advanced understanding of HMIs and PLC systems including verifying inputs and outputs and controls

  • Experienced safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts and aerial lifts

  • Proficient using computer systems and CMMS software

  • Will be required to wear applicable personal protective equipment including arc flash protection and safety shoes

  • Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists and stand and walk for long periods

  • Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted

  • Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation

  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment that can be noisy and have a low lighting levels

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines

  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take directions

  • Must be a safety conscious, motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude

  • Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime
