Basic Job Functions:
Manage human resources for Nucor Rebar Fabrication West Region. The HR Manager will report to the Regional Controller and collaborate with Operations and Sales Managers on employee relations, compensation, benefits, talent development, recruiting, and hiring to achieve regional goals. Support Operations Managers in leading the region and branches aligned with Nucor's mission and culture. Ensure the NRF West HR team supports the region and coordinate with other NRF regions for consistent policy implementation and administration.
Position is Based in Salt Lake City, UT

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support all HR functions in the region, aligning with Nucor's mission and culture. • Develop and execute talent strategies for recruiting, succession planning, and training with Operations and Branch Managers. • Resolve teammate relations issues promptly and fairly. • Implement wage and salary administration, ensuring pay equity. • Ensure consistent application of company policies and compliance with employment laws. • Supervise recruiting, hiring, and promotion processes in line with the talent strategy and compliance. • Manage FMLA and personal leave policies to support regional needs. • Oversee worker's compensation claims and return to work evaluations.
Duties and Responsibilities - Support Team Oversight:
• Oversee the HR team in managing employee benefits such as health, dental, disability, life insurance, profit sharing, and 401K programs. • Lead the HR team on worker's compensation, hiring processes, and AAP tracking. • Develop department systems and procedures; train staff as needed. • Perform tasks assigned by the Regional Controller and Department Managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. • Bachelor's Degree • At least ten years of human resources management experience with a minimum of four years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a comprehensive talent strategy including outreach, recruiting, succession planning and development. • Human resources management experience in construction or manufactur ing. • Human resources management experience with responsibility for multiple sites/locations. • Demonstrated customer service, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. • Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement and "can do" attitude. • Knowledge of federal and state employment law and experience with multi-state benefits including California. • Strong verbal and written communications skills ith all ranges of teammates and positions. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to adjust to a broad scope of job demands. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Special Demands:
• Frequent regional travel required.
