Moog Medical is looking for a Staff Embedded Software Engineer.

As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer you will be involved with medical device projects from design to test and implementation stages.You will design and develop software to meet design specifications.Reporting to the Director, Engineering you will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Remote work within the United States may be considered.
To be considered for a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university; with a minimum of ten (10) years applicable work experience.
*
Demonstrated experience in embedded software design, implementing and debugging real-time embedded software systems Proficiency in C and C++ languages
*
Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M/IAR a plus
*
Demonstrated proficiency in object orientated and/or structured design software design/clean code principles.
*
Familiarity with unit test and static analysis tools and processes.
*
Experience developing on bare metal and RTOS-based systems (ThreadX a plus)
*
Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
*
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer you will be responsible for the following:
Design
*
Ensures that team's software project deliverables and process requirements are met.
*
Is a lead engineer. Will lead a small or medium sized team
*
Documents designs, including but not limited to software specifications, detailed design, implementation, verification, and traceability
*
Develops/reviews specifications within medical regulatory guidelines
*
Solid understanding of medical regulations
*
Contribute to system engineering evaluations, designs, troubleshooting and documentation activities
*
Software version control and defect management
*
Generates medical device design and system documentation and release in a document control system
*
Learn and adhere with software development process and change control procedures
*
Contributes within a cross-functional team to project/program objectives
*
Participate in technical reviews
Test
*
Generates/approves/executes test verification/validation protocols
*
Perform testing / conduct experiments on systems
*
Directs testing with ability to analyze test data / interpret technical results
*
Create and release reports
Applications Engineering
*
Assist in preparing quotes and proposals for product development and maintenance
*
Supports production staff as necessary
