Job Description
A federal client of Insight Global is looking for a Software Developer to:
Design, code, debug, test, and maintain web applications.
Develop skills in an Agile environment, working with senior developers to ensure code quality and timely delivery.
Assist in developing web applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
Participate in the entire SDLC, from coding to debugging.
Collaborate with developers to implement secure and efficient code.
Support software testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance tests.
Engage in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning and reviews.
Assist in refactoring legacy code for efficiency and scalability.
Maintain and update system documentation.
Perform troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
Participate in code reviews and improve coding standards.

Skills and Requirements
Associate's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar.
Must be willing to work onsite in the SAFB, IL area as needed (est. twice per year) to meet client needs and collaborate with team members.
Must have active Secret clearance or higher.
Must have one of the following certifications: GCLD, GSEC, CSSLP, FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, SSCP
Experience with Java, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages such as HTML/CSS and SQL.
Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Angular 2, Spring Boot, or similar.
Experience working in Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux - RHEL) and Windows environments.
Basic understanding of secure coding practices and familiarity with tools such as Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA) or SonarQube.
Exposure to Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab. - Bachelor's degree null
